Mr. Mark McLoughlin has recently been appointed as global president for Erlab, headquartered in France, this marks the first time in their 58 year history that the family owned business, credited with the creation of ductless fume hoods and innovative air filtration products, has welcomed a senior member of the scientific product community to lead and direct the overall operations and strategic direction for the organization.
As Erlab continues to expand globally they recognize the benefits of a fresh external perspective and the guiding expertise inherent in a new president’s neutral decision-making process. McLoughlin will be headquartered in the United States but oversee the global initiatives and play a crucial role in guiding company direction and ensuring its success.
Mark brings four decades of healthcare industry experience. During his tenure as President for Avantor (Formerly VWR), suppliers of products and services to research and production laboratories, Mr. McLoughlin was responsible for the entire P&L of the Americas manufacturing, distribution and services business. Mark previously led businesses for Cardinal Health, Baxter and Mallinckrodt.

As part of this leadership evolution, Erlab is also pleased to announce the promotion of Cédric Herry to Vice President of Innovation. Actively involved in standardization efforts, he currently serves as Chairman of the ISO TC 336 standardization committee for Laboratory Design. Since 2021, as Deputy General Manager, Cédric has played a key role in advancing laboratory safety at Erlab. In his new role, he will further strengthen the company’s R&D strategy.
Additionally, Cyril Monnier has been promoted to General Manager, Europe. Leading Erlab’s European sales efforts since 2020 as Sales Director, his deep understanding of the market and strong commercial expertise will support the company’s strategic development across Europe.
